Getting Ready for the EU Digital Product Passport
Europe's Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR) is reshaping what brands need to know about every garment they sell. Its Digital Product Passport will give each product a digital record of materials, origin, and environmental data.
The rollout is already underway: the EU's ban on large companies destroying unsold textiles and footwear took effect in July 2026, and textile-specific passport requirements are expected to be adopted in 2027, with passports on garments following in the years after.
For a vertically integrated producer, traceability starts at the fibre. Because our yarn, fabric, and garments are made within the same group, we can document each stage of production — the kind of data a passport will require.
We're working with our partners now so that fabric-level information is ready long before it becomes mandatory.
